Ok so here we go. So after discovering some things about my eating, I am ready to try ketosis again to see if I can get some hormones on track and to help lose that stubborn last bit of bodyfat and weight. So ketosis strikes again!! But I have realized that I am a binge eater and place too much happiness on what I eat. I let my anxiety control what and how often I eat. But it will be no more. I feel like I am in a good mind set and I have the support of several people, one of which is doing to with me. So I think I got this. 4 weeks from now I will shed the results.

Well She is Talking....
So E had always been a little behind on everything; walking, growth, height, talking. But now she had finally started to talk so much better! Ice cream cone, ketchup, hello, okey-dokey, and cockadoodle -do are some of her new words. But after her follow up with the Endocrine doctor wr have found out that her growth is sufficient and the doctor doesn't believe she will have hormone issues or growth issues. We still will have visits every six months, like her eye doctor, to make sure that nothing changes, but it appears my little baby will be ok. Yay!! My oldest is in Kindergarten ( what!?!? How did that happen?) She is loving it and we are already starting to read. She already says she loves recess (smart girl) and has made a new friend. We, well mostly me and E, like walking to school. Z usually rides her scooter and I will push E in the stroller or put her in my back in our hiking backpack. I have been living taking her to school though because unusually go for a run or a hike with E after I drop Z off. It is great! I am hoping it will help me with my fitness/ weight loss goals. But it has been kinda fun having that time with just my little baby, but I do miss my cute little pony lover.
Keto Update
So I tried the keto again. I am not sire if I didn't drink enough water or I had too many berries or if I didn't eat enough fat or what, but it backfired. I actually went up in body fat 1% and it just threw off my body from the medications I was taking. So I am going to have to try something new. So here I am at 151.8 pounds still, and 21% body fat after 6 months. Hmmm back to the blackboard I guess....

Ok So I am Way Behind....
Ok so as mentioned I need to catch up. First of birthdays. Z turned 5 in April and starts kindergarten in the fall (yikes! Where did the time go?). At the doctors she was 43 pounds and 70 percentile for weight and 44.5 inches and pith percentile for height. She is wearing size 6 clothes and size 10 shoes. She loves horses, crafts, coloring, and making silly faces. She still loves to read and is such a good helper with E, getting her dressed and wanting to help change her diaper and help her. I love when Z picks her up and carries her. E is so small compared to Z. Speaking of E, she turned 2 in May. She is wearing 18-24 month pants and 24 month-2T shirts and dresses. She just went from size 4 to size 5 shoes and wears size 4 diapers. She is my little pip-squeak at 24 pounds 6 oz and 20th percentile, and 32.8 inches tall and 25th percentile. She is OBSESSED with flowers, especially yellow flowers. She loves walking on her tip toes, running with her hands in the air, and her kitty cats. Both girls are so silly and love the outside. They are constantly making us laugh.
So another update. Z just had her tonsils out, and boy was that fun. (Eyes rolled) It was a battle to get her to take her medicine because it "tastes bad" so then her throat would hurt, so then she would cry, and so then her throat would hurt more. It was so frustrating. She only would eat apple juice and ice cream for several days. But luckily she is now pretty much healed. I am glad to have them out though. Her tonsils have been big for several years now, but the last straw was when she got strep and they were so big she was gasping when she slept and her voice sounded different (doctor called it "hot potato" voice, I had never heard of it before). Several weeks later and several insurance hoops that were jumped through, they are out, Z is eating normal again and no more of that nonsense to deal with.

Happy Birthday Jon and Normal Results
Well as some of you may know I have been worried about E and her hormones because of the nature of her underdeveloped eye. We had an endocrine consult about a month ago and we got signed up for lab draws, x-rays, and urine samples. ( Can I just say getting a urine sample on an unpotty trained kiddo is difficult, especially when they don't give you a straight Cath kit or anything but a leaky pee bag.) Anyway, so tests for various hormone levels and growth levels were done (Can I say how well she did with her blood draw and x-ray! She just whimpered when the needle went in and she stayed perfectly still with her x-ray so it only took one pole and one x-ray shot. She did better then many of my adult patients have done when I have put in an iv. Anyway yay for brave little E.) and then it was a waiting game. Well results are in and everything is normal except her growth factor is on the low side. Growth plates are where they should be at and her thyroid and ADH levels and growth hormone levels are normal. Phew!!! What a relief. We still have a follow up but so far she is not a worry. I kinda thought she was ok but I wanted to make sure her levels were normal brcause if the problems it could cause down the road. So mommy feels better.
So on to my fist love of my life's birthday. Well my hubby is the big 32. We have found that low carb and grain free really help to stop his constantly burning esophagus. So I made a low carb oreo cake for him. I was pretty proud because it turned out tasty, but it also took a lot of work because I had to make the oreos from scratch as well as the cake and frosting. But anyway he was excited to have a cake that didn't send him into a sugar and heartburn coma. We were able to spend most of the week together as a family because he kept having meetings cancelled, so it was truly a party week. He is such a sweet amazing man I was happy to have him home. Happy birthday my hunting buddy, my co-piolet, my silly crazy companion. Love you.
Keto Again
Well I have kinda leveled off weight wise. After my first trial with ketosis I dropped weight fast. Then we want on our annual Jackson trip. I then found out more info and took a break from keto. So I gained a bunch of water weight back (which is normal), and switched to kinda a paleo with dairy kind of thing. Man I miss bread. But I will be starting up again here on my third round of keto in Sunday. I am hoping to reach my goal of 19% body fat or a weight of 137-140 pounds. I currently am at 152 pounds and 21% body fat. I am pretty proud of my progress though. I have dropped from 26% to 21% and I have gained quite a bit of muscle. So anyway, tally how on Monday!

Keto and me
So to try to kick start my final 15 lbs I need to lose I tried the ketosis diet. Super hard and super strict but I did it for 2 weeks to see of it would be worth it. Well the scale don't lie. I lost 4 lbs and 1% body fat in a week and a half. So I think I will try it again. Come on baby 137!!
Back post: N is for November Nursery
So my little E is 18 months ( as of November, oops). She is getting so funny and has such a silly personality. She is staring to like to wear her glasses now, even though it is usually only for a short time and she usually pulls them off and on a few times before handing them to me. She is finally walking and has been since December. She would try a little bit, but would really only take a few steps. Now she will even do little squats with Jon and I. She loves to get into everything, gets upset when cupboard doors are left open, says "love you" when I got to work, makes monkey, dog, and lion sounds ( and duck sounds as of last week.) She loves wheels on the bus, folds her arms like a champ, and is already bickering with her older sister. But like all siblings, after the biting stops, they start playing. They will sit side by side and color at the bar or at the table. I will have to take a picture it is so dang cute. E is wearing size 3 shoes, size 18-24 month clothes and size 4 diapers. She is finally 20 lbs!! She is 20.4 lbs and at 20th percentile for weight and 15th percentile for height at 30.5. My cute little pipsqueak. Well she starts nursery today since we haven't been able to make it to church since the end of November to now due to work and sickness and traveling. So wish us luck for today. Hopefully she doesn't get sick.
Anyway, they had a fun Christmas. Z was so excited to write to santa and make him brownies. She asked for a rocking horse and a rocking chair, so naturally that is what E asked for too. So santa brought them that and Z was so super psyched she couldn't stand it. E would open some presents, then take a break, open presents, then take a break. So they both seemed to have a fun day. I had fun giving them their big present from Jon and I. Since I started doing Pinterest like 6 years or so ago I wanted to build/convert a dresser into a kitchen. So I did that with a $10 DI dresser. Jon helped with the sink, but I had fun painting and sewing and planning it out. Plus I had fun making you food for it too. It was a fun present for me too. Well I hope everyone had a fun holiday season because I sure enjoyed it.
