Pics of Z

Just playing in the laundry basket

TEETH!

Well Z has broke her two little bottom teeth about a couple of months ago. (this post didn't get published when I first wrote it whoops) She got them in about August. She is so cute and we gave her a carrot stick to munch on and she managed to shred off several pieces that eneded up all over her face. So cute! She is also loving our dog Duncan. She will reach towards him and pat his head. She also will grab a bunch of his hair or an ear and just laugh away! And our dog is so good and just lts her do it. Gotta love the duncan.

Update Update Update

So things have bern super crazy the last month or so. Z has been growing like a weed and eating so much food it is amazing! So I have been spending a lot of days trying to make loads of baby food to try to keep her growing body happy. FYI she loves everything sp far but avacado. This includes egg yolkes, garlic celery and pototoes and brocoli. She is just munching away with her two bottom shark teeth, and I keep thinking she will break some more soon because she has been drooling tons, but so far nothing else has reared its sharp little head. She has also just about grown out of her car seat, so guess what one of her christmas presents will be... She also had a photo shoot saturday for christmas time with the fabulous photographers at urbanroots photography.com. She is so cute I can't barely stand it, how did I get so lucky. And speaking of luck Jon and I have both made a few career changes. Jon got a job with MSS ( the company that built rio tinto stadium) and I after two years of waiting got a full time RN job at Lakeview hospital. It is so nice to have a full time job and I am so thankful that alot of the pain and drama of the last two years will be gone! So lots of fun and exciting things at the Horman household. But on a side note I just want to thank all those, espcially my hubby who has been ridiculously patient and supportive through this whole ordeal, who have been there for me and my family. Thanks to my co-workers at east 8 for helping me get through my CNA days. Thanks to my family for their patience in my absence of family dinners and functions because of having to work 4 twelve hour shifts.  And thanks again my wonderful Jon for putting up with an exhausted wife with changing hormones, extreme fatigue, shorten fuses, and absentee on many nights of the week. Thank you thank you thank you all and I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Also this friday I saw the new Breaking Dawn! Love and happiness! It was really good and I throughly enjoyed it. Oh I also just rediscovered my library card. I have read two books in about two weeks, whichis pretty good for me. The latest two are The Road by cormac mccarthy and Water For Elephants whose authors name escapses me. But I am going to try to carve through some books I have been wanting to read for some time and since I will be down to only thred twelve hour shifts now I can read at home without passing out midsentence and waking up at 1 with a crooked net and a book print on my forehead.

Z Update

Well my little girl is almost 6 months old and she is growing like a weed! At her Doctors appointment she was 17 pounds 13 ounces (95th percentile) and 27 inches (99 percentile). She got her vaccine shots, which she hates but she doesn't do too bad, at least I think so. She is also moved on to solid foods and she is loving it! She will eat several cubes of homemade food in one sitting! Thus far she loves carrots, beans, applesauce, butternut squash, and rice cereal. Sometimes she likes bananas and broccoli depending on thr day. But she is rolling from one end of the room to the other like it's nobodys business. But I am super excited/ super nervous about her latest development: she has two teeth that have broken through! So far she has only been biting toys and her binkies but I can only hope for the best when she decides to use me as a chew toy for the first time.... Oh well the joys of breast feeding I guess. Z also has picked growling and does it frequently and she has become somewhat spoiled in that she gets her daddy to give her long back rubs, I wish she would share her secret, maybe I should growl at my husband if it works for her it might work for me right? But this little girl has got us wrapped around her little finger and we love her so much and love watching her grow everyday. On a side note we had family pictures done by the wonderful people at urban roots photography and I am proud to saw that I made Z's headband and scarf so I will have to post a picture of them when I take it. But if anyone needs pictures I highly reccomend them. They are wnderful to work with and their pics are awsome! Check them out at urbanrootsphotography.com

Baby Girl Craftiness

So Jon was hunting with his buddy this weekend so I decided to do some crafting. So here are some accesories and an outfit I mads. Some of the bows I made with my sister-in-law on a couple of days this last month. The top I made was from an old tube top I had that I couldn't wear anymore. I must saw I love making a cute head accesory for Zoe and then asking her if she likes it and seeing her smile from ear to ear. Does my old heart good.

Over Due Update

Well I have been working my two jobs now for a month and it is getting so hard to leave my baby and hubby 4 nights a week. I am continuing to look for full time nursing jobs and I have had about 8 interviews since Z was born but just no luck. It is getting so frustratung because I have been a nurse for almost two years and I am still working as a CNA. But I guess there is some reason for it and I keep praying that things will change so I can be there (awake and alert not zombie sleep deprived mommy) for Z and Jon, especially since Jon starts his new job on Monday. But I guess we will just have to have faith and hope for the best. on the plus side my baby is growing so fast! Yesterday she turned 4 months old! At her last Doctors visit she was 95th percentile for weight at 14 pounds 12 oz and 100th percentile at26 inches. And now she has stared teething. She has been drooling and being a fusspot for about a week so we will see.
Here are some pics of little Z hanging ou with daddy.

Oh a Back Post With PregoPics

About 24-27 weeks About 32 weeks At 39 weeks

Z Update; Packers Edition

So Z is getting so big so fast! She is already starting into fit into 3-6 month old clothes. She is about 24 inches and 13 pounds at 8 weeks old. She is almost holding her head up all by herself and she has rolled over to her side several times. She has been smiling in reaction to us for about three weeks. Before she was just smiling randomly. But now she is onehappy smiling giggly girl! I am so happy to be a mommy and I started work two weekends ago. Not too fun and Z gave Jon a hard time so that made it harder. But she did better this weekend. She is such a stinker though. She continues to only sleep at night if she is snuggling with us in our bed. As you can see she is the one in charge. I don't mind though I love waking up to my little girl all snuggled up to me. And plus she is so darn cute. Also we had pictures done when she was a week old and again at 1 month. Some of them are posted on the talented photographers blog Urban Roots Photography at urbanrootsphotography.com under baby Z. They are really cute and I would reccomend them for any pictures anybody needs.

Almost Three Weeks

On Thursday Z had her 2week appointment. She weighed 9lb 12oz and was 22 in tall. I can`t believe how fast she is growing! She is starting to look more like her daddy too. It is so fun and such a specso fial experience having her in our family. She is finally starting to get on a normal sleeping routine too, despite her mom working gaveyards. Sh
e is doing well and giving me good three hour chunks to sleep for the night. I love this girl so much and it is so fun watching her interact with her daddy.

Little Z

My little Zoe's first moments with mom, on her way home and sleeping at home.

ZH

So on April 8 2012, after being 4days late our little girl Zoe Jayne came to meet us. I woke up at 4:30 am to go to the bathroom and discovered that my water had broken. I woke jon up and told him it was time to go to the hospital. We got admitted to labor and delivery about 6:00 am. I was at a 2 1/2 when I got admitted. I was able to wait to get my epidural until noon. The doctor had to break my water before I got it because the first test they did to check for fluids came out negative. Then when they checked for the ferning test and another lithmus paper test, which the ferning came out negatve and the paper came out positive. Needless to say they had to burst my waters . Things started moving along pretty fast after. At about three I was at a five and an hour later I was at an 8. At four thirty-four fourty after about six pushes my little girl was in my arms. I am still so happy that she is here in my arms. She was not too big like I was worried about. She came out 8 pounds 10 ounces and 21 inches of beauty. I can't believe how much I love her and I love watching her grow.

1Day Left

Well tomortow is my due date and as of last week I was at a tight 1 and the doctor said that she was still pretty high. I feel like she is lower and my hips have sure been hurting but apparently I still got a ways to go. I am feeling so tired too, Iactually fell asleep while taking a bath today and woke up an hour and a half later. Tomortow I have a doctors aplointment so we will seeif anything is happening. If nothung has changed it is not for lack of trying. I have been going on walks up to the mountain above our house, been hiking around those mountains, ran down hills, did jumping jacks, wall squatts, pushups, and tried eating really hot food but nothing. So I guess she will come when she is ready although maybe if I don't have a migrain like I have for the last two days, then I can relax and maybe she will make her debut.

Almost There!

Well here I am at 38 weeks just waiting for our little girl to get here. I am feeling ok just tired and impatient. I feel huge although everyone has said that I am pretty small, and the 33 pounds my little one has helped me to acquire is slowing me down. I am starting to swell in my feet and ankles, but I am glad that it is getting to be flip flop weather. Well I will keep updating when things start happening, like me dialating to more than a tight one. Blast! Maybe it will change next week.

More Girl Cuteness

So I decided I wasn't done sewing and I wanted to try my hand at making some of the cute kiddo clothes on pinterest. I made the green pants and bows, the zebra shirt and headband that has matching buttons, and I converted the pink striped shirt into a girl sized shirt from one of my own tnat somehow got a blue dye on the bottom. I also made the layered dress and headband but I made up the pattern from pinterest/guessing the size. I had fun and I can't wait to make more!

My First Baby Outfit

This is the first skirt I made for my little girl. I hope it fits ok. It didn't turn out how I wanted it to, but it is is still pretty cute. My family also had a "Code Pink" sewing day where I made a couple of wet bags and started making some baby blocks that I just need to stuff. Baby projects are so fun and cute!

Baby Fun

This week I decided to make some things for baby. I made burps and leggings and binkie bags and a skirt and changinging pads. I am so excited for April!

Busy Week

What a week! I just finished my fifth day of work in a row and the last day was super busy from 10:30pm to 7:00am. Then to top it off my dad had to go get his heart stopped and restarted again ( procedure called cardio inversion for those who care to know ) because his heart was in atrial fibrillation, and I had an ultrasound that same day to check and see if the baby's cyst on her choriod plexus was still there. Luckily both procedures went well and baby's cyst is gone, which takes a huge load off my shoulders. So all is well at the Horman household. A side note is that according to the ultrasound the due date could've been moved to the 30th of March because of her size. So I think se will keep with Jon and I's trend of being almost nine pounds ( me ) and ten pounds ( jon ). I am just so excited for her to get here. April 4th hurry and get here!

Pregnancy Picture 28 Weeks

My belly at 28 weeks. I feel huge but everyone says I am so little. I think she sits in really deep because my kidneys, hips, and back sure are feeling it. But so far the pregnany hasn't been too bad and it's gone by fast.
