Well it has been a while, but it is a slow night at work so via better bring things up to speed. Well for about a year or so more my poor husband has been going to a specialist about his stomach pains. He has been having them off and on for almost 6 years but we haven't been able to take him to w specialist until the previous year. My poor hubby would throw up or just be sick or have severe abdominal pain, or all of the above at once, which was more often the case. We couldn't find any triggers either. I thought it might be food allergies or liver issues or pancreas issues, but when the pain would get so bad he would have to go to the ER there was nothing abnormal in any of the ultrasounds, labs, or x-rays. The only variation from his tests and a normal pain free person was that his bilirubin, which is related to liver function to those of you how aren't in the medical field like me, and you know the excruciating pain that would cause him to curl up like an armadillo. He even had an MRI which showed nothing. Well this last year he got an endoscopy, which is basically a tube with a camera going from your mouth to your intestine looking for anything abnormal, and some gallbladder test although I can't remember the name. It was something like DC or IC. Anyway they found that my Jon's gallbladder only works at 54% and that he has some scaring in his throat from years of heartburn as well as some areas that are pre-ulcerative. Well he tried several medications which gave him more heartburn and more stomach pain. So the new thing we are trying for is IBS or irritable bowel syndrome. Fun huh? The Doctor has him trying this diet called FODMAP which in a nutshell stands for a bunch of molecules in certain foods which are harder to break down ergo causing stomach pain and cramping. Well fine it will hopefully help the hubs so let's do it. Well think about all the healthy foods like whole wheat bread, yogurt, broccoli, garlic, apples and just toss them right out. No pears, onions, mushrooms, honey, dairy or gluten of any kind, cauliflower, no fructose and also make sure nothing you buy has high fructose corn syrup. Yeah easy right! We have always tried to be healthy, always cooking with olive oil or baking with applesauce ( both a no-no), only have whole wheat bread and pasta and flour, always cook with veggies like celery, garlic and onion (no, no, and no) and I never have even bought shortening much less used it. We try to avoid trans fats and rarely deep fry foods and we only eat game meat. So how did he get this crappy stomach condition along with gallbladder dysfunction and a disease called Giberts Syndrome which makes him super tired all the time? Gilberts Syndrome is something I got to learn about because I had never heard of it. It is a hereditary disease with no cure and no real emergant medical symptoms. The sufferer is just super tired and will have occasionally high bilirubin. So anyway, the FODMAP thing is hard. I am trying to find things he can eat for meals but everything has either a veggie he cant have or it has dairy or gluten. We have stared to try almond flour and other flours and almond milk (no soy milk or whey protein that is in his beloved protein shakes) and coconut milk at times, but finding recipes that won't make him hurt is stinking hard. I tried to look online and at the library. They have information but no recipes. So I am going to try alternating weeks with the bags ones such as diary and gluten( one week gluten free, one week dairy free) and see if I can get my husband some relief because the diet has been helping decrease his pain. So wish us luck. More update to follow. One plus side, besides helping my hubs have less pain, is that the diet has helped me with my weight loss goal. I am down to 145 as of Monday. I was bouncing between 156-157. I am also in my goal pants! I just have 5-8 more pounds to go! That is my "yay me" moment.

Fun Girl Time
Well Z and I decided to do our nails while our stuffed French toast was cooking. Z loves to have her types painted. She loves to pick the colors and her toes are so cute! They are so expressive too, just like Jon's. He can pinch me with his toes if I start to get too grouchy, which always makes me laugh because who has toes that are that flexible. She was so funny too. We decided to try an idea I found on Pinterest to do a foot soak with Listerine. Z loved soaking/ splashing in the water. I just love it when she is silly. My girl is my world and I love spending time with her. I love the age she is at now. She loves to help me pick up and clean and tries to help me dust and sweep. I had to buy her her very own dustpan because she wouldn't give me mine back. Anyway here are some pictures of our toes today. I tried some artsy stuff I saw on Pinterest ( have I said how much I love that site). Oh don't mind my crazy hair, it was a cleaning day.

Deer Hunt and Craft Time
Well this week is the deer hunt so I decided to take the week off. Do to Jon's job situation we could not go hunting all day like we wanted to. So having all day while Jon is at work to myself I decided to do some crafting. Here are some of the projects that I have done for Z. I have made stamps with bottle caps, a magnetic board with pom poms that stick to the board, felt boards with a jack o lantern and faces, a snowman in different hats mittens and a Christmas tree with different ornaments. I also made little pictures on popsicle sticks that match songs, as well as several other different little games that I will show pictures of. I also have pictures of outfits and bows I have made during a craft weekend with my family in July. I also the few of the shirts and things I had that did not fit or I did not like, such as the purple pillowcase top that I made from a shirt that I had, as well as the blue striped dress from another shirt that I had. Also made a bunch of skirts from shirts I had. I also found a few tops and bottoms at Walmart for $1 that I altered an added ruffles and a vest to. I made the green fleece jacket from some green fleece I had lying around. I also made some puppets from some old socks I had and I made a board that Z can clip the matching clips too. So we will see if she likes her new toys and clothes.
I also was able to get my deer on Tuesday October 22nd. It was nothing too special size wise, just a two by two, but it will feed my family. We have never had to buy any beef in the almost 6 years we have been married because we have been able to use the deer and elk and antelope that we hunt. We have been very blessed that we been able to fill almost all of our tags and have meat to last us all year long as well as to provide meet for Jon's brothers family. For copyright purposes I have gotten a lot of ideas and instructions on how to do my clothes and projects from my Pinterest board.
I will post another blog post later on with the story of my hunt and a picture of my deer.

18 Months Already!
Well my baby girl is growing up! She had her 18 month appointment yesterday and the verdict is she is getting too big too fast! ( At least according to me.) She is holding strong to 95th percentile for height (the exact number is escaping me at the moment), and she was up to 85th percentile for weight at 26.7 pounds. Boy I am glad she is walking so I don't have to carry her everywhere at that weight. But then again I would have arms of steel if I did.... I think I will go with her walking still. She is just so dang funny I can barely stand it her grumpy face is so funny! She will make that face at the most random times. Like today Jon and I were talking and we asked to get her ball in the other room. She left to go get it and when she came back she have us that look as though she were saying " You just sent me away so you could talk and I disapprove."
Oh a little snippet about the workout thing. I am at 151 now so some success. I have never really been able to lose weight so I am happy!

Playing Playing All Around
Well my silly little Z bug has figured out how to take selfies with my new phone. Here are a couple of the hundreds, yes hundreds, of pictures that she took. Such a cutie. I love her chubby neck picture! Whenever she sees my phone she grabs it and at least 225 pictures later she hands me my phone. Most of the time she will sneak my phone and I will hear the familiar 'click' phone and her saying " Baby. Baby" which is what she says when she sees herself in the phone. Such a silly girl. She also has taken to putting her headbands around her neck like necklaces, as you can see in the picture with her green jammies. She also loves to play with her cousins, especially with our blowup avenger hammer her cousin H brought over. So cute! Anyway more updates to follow after Z's Dr appointment.

Workout Revamp
So this past is just mostly for me and I forgot to put it on the previous one(oops), but as mentioned in earlier post I am trying to lose 15 pounds. So to help me my husband right that getting some newer workout clothes wound be helpful. I think that he is right. Maybe dressing in my old soccer clothes makes me look and feel too frumpy. So we will try a different approach. The picture in the swim suit is just to show what I look like now as a reference. But call come soon I shall hopefully be in a bikini. Wish me luck!
Over due Update: Z( of course) And Moving Out Of The Dark Ages
Well I have been super busy at work which is when I usually blog so that is why I am so far behind. But I am don't now. But the best part is I am doing so from my new phone. I finally broke down and got a smart phone. My Hubby's phone broke and my phone is terrible so while we were there my hubby talked me into getting one. So far so good. We also came out of our cave and got cable and internet. My hubby was getting very worried about not being able to watch his football games and I was just excited to have Walking Dead. Oh and by the way season three comes out in like a week! I already told Jon I am buying it the day it comes out. But it is totally legite that I am so excited for it to be out because you can't just watch the first third of the season and not be dying to know what happened! Right?
Well anyway back to the main reason I blog: baby ZJ. Well she is 16 months now and so fang funny. She loves to paint and color andv says " woof woof" every time she sees a dog and "quack quack" every time she sees a duck. She is learning so fast. She knows whet her eyes, ears, tummy, toes, and mouth are. She can brush her teeth and loves doing so. Plus she is finally walking and not crawling anymore! She started waking in like June but would only take a few steps because crawling was faster. But now she is finally done crawling.! She is growing so fast! She is 95 percentile for height at 33 inches and 65 percentile for weight at 24.8 pounds. She is wearing size 5 shoes and mostly 2T clothes. She also has at least four molars.
We also tried some things I found on Pinterest. Here are some pictures of us trying the foam dough, finger paint, and bathroom tub paint.

Baby Blue Easter Bunny
Well the time has come... Z is almost one! Where did time go? It was just yesterday that we brought her home. Now she is a crawling smiling giggling machine!!! I love how much fun she is though and I am so happy at how smart she is already. She is already playing with shapes and putting them in the matching spot and she already loves to just sit and look at books.( she enjoys us reading too). She has four top teeth and almost four bottom teeth. And for the part that has been pretty hard for me... She has offically stopped nursing as of two weeks ago. While it was kinda a pain at times, I enjoyed the mandatory time I got to spend with her plus, the ease of bedtime wass a plus. But it is a bitter sweet thing I guess wee ask have to go through. I have never had issues with nursing or my milk like many women do, but after seeing my baby look at me with eyes that say "mommy I want to nurse" and not being able to give that to her anymore kinda gives me some empathy for those women. But on a happier note Easter was so fun! We had three easter egg hunts between the families and Z got to wear her adorable dress which I scored for like super cheap. Now to burn off the easter candy and get back to losing my fifteen pounds of goal weight. Luckily that is not baby weight to lose just weight I want to get down to so I can wear some of the cute styles that would look terrible on me now. So of I go tho the gym after work. Look for the uncoordinated chick with blue bags under her eyes trying to do zumba.
